Hometown: Fair Hill, MD
When Lauren first moved to Baltimore from her rural hometown, she didn’t know anyone. Today many of her closest friends live in Baltimore and it’s the place she calls home. “Baltimore may be a big city, but it has a small-town feel. The people of Baltimore are unique and friendly.” Lauren met many of her closest friends through Baltimore Social Sports, playing everything from kickball and softball to football and broomball.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from Towson University, Lauren was accepted into Towson’s communications management graduate program. She also works full time as the special events coordinator at Towson. Like Lauren, a majority of the classmates she graduated with stayed in Baltimore. “Now that we’re in careers and graduate school, we bond over what we like most about the city. There is so much going on in Baltimore, there is always something to do or experience whether it’s an Orioles game, a new restaurant, or a festival. “
Lauren lives in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood. She enjoys walking and running along the Waterfront Promenade. She and her friends often use the walkway to get from their homes in Canton to Fells Point, Harbor East, and the Inner Harbor. After a kickball game, she likes to go to Kisslings Tavern in Canton where they have the “best wings in Baltimore.”
