Meet Our Students

"I learned that many social problems go a lot deeper than they seem on the surface. Baltimore Collegetown LeaderShape reminded me to not only consider, but to value viewpoints of every member of a community."

Neighborhood Revitalization
Maria Garcia, Class Six
Maryland Institute College of Art
Vision: My vision is to encourage everyone in the community to be more cognizant of the issues that surround them and the history as to any of those issues. I want to be an advocate for the issues through education and the fostering of not just leaders, but community members that care about what is going on outside of their own lives. I want to create a future where all individuals understand how our actions throughout history have encouraged the spread of discrimination, stereotypes, and underrepresentation. A society, where through this understanding, more honest and open discussions are held in order to accept our wrongs as a society and move forward to an overall inclusive community.
