"It’s important to give back to your community. If I can give back with my time and talent even in just a small way, I can help the larger city."
Ryan Fishback
Loyola University Maryland
Hometown: East Aurora, NY

Ryan's Story

When Ryan Fishback started college, his goal was “to get a job with a company and focus everything I did on that company.” After participating in Baltimore Collegetown LeaderShape, Ryan’s goal continues to be working in wealth management  and entrepreneurship; however, he now has a vision for himself as a leader who shares his talents to build a stronger community.

Ryan’s vision is to bring affordable, accessible banking to Baltimore residents. People will be able to earn interest on their money, have information to make sound investments, and access low-interest loans. In the end, people will be able to have more financial security and stability.

Now, Ryan mentors elementary and middle school students at the DeWees Recreation Center, helping with homework and playing sports. His Collegetown LeaderShape family cluster chose to give back to the community by assisting The 6th Branch in a park clean up at Ambrose Kennedy Park. “I learned that no matter how much help you can give a person, even if it is just a few hours, it is always appreciated and helps them achieve their visions.”
