Meet Ava, our events intern who put together a Baltimore gift guide. From snacks, to dessert, and hands-on classes there is something for everyone!

The holiday season is approaching quickly so I have done the hard work for you, creating a Baltimore gift guide for friends and family who need to experience some B’More. Below are multiple options ranging in price and age.

$ = under 10

$$ = 10 - 25

$$$ = 25 +

Berger and Otterbein Cookies $

The famous rivalry in Baltimore is between two fantastic cookies, Berger and Otterbein cookies. Berger cookies are thick, soft cookies with one side drenched in  fudge. Otterbein cookies are thinner and come in a variety in flavors - gingerbread, sugar, Oatmeal raisin, etc. Both cookies are easy to travel with and can be picked up at most grocery stores.

Fisher’s Old Bay Popcorn $

Fisher’s caramel popcorn is already incredible, but the old bay popcorn adds the perfect mix of spicy and sweet to balance out the caramel flavor. You can buy a single small bag for a great stocking stuffer or purchase a ½ gallon tub

Boordy Vineyard Wine $$

This winery is local, and its bottles are available at most liquor stores. They have a Merlot, Riesling as well as many others. This is the perfect gift for adults - who doesn't love a good bottle of local wine?

228 Grant Street Candles

These candles are unique in scent and despite being high end, are affordable. Just a few of their scents include sea salt + orchid, wild blackberry + absinthe. They also offer candle making classes, which is the perfect gift for couples or those looking for an easy way to get in touch with their artistic side. You can purchase their candles at their retail store on North Haven or retail stores such as Flourish, Walter Gardens, and the BMA. Check out their site here.

Baltimore in a Box $$+

This custom box can be tailored to your needs . It is perfect to send in the mail to family or friends. You can customize the box to include certain foods or accessories that are Maryland themed. Boxes start at $49, and include awesome Baltimorean swag (Christmas ornaments, beer cozies, Baltimore prints, and much more).

Baltimore Clayworks $$$

Do you know someone who has always wanted to work with a potter’s wheel but never had the opportunity? Now is their  chance! Baltimore Clayworks offers classes that last several  weeks or  single sessions. This is the perfect gift for a couple or someone  creative.

Cooking Class $$$

The Baltimore Chef Shop in Hampden is an award winning cooking school that offers numerous cooking classes such as  Bagels 101, French Macarons, Korean Street Food and Spanish Tapas. This is a great gift for people learning how to cook or for a seasoned chef looking for something new.

Don’t forget to check out local boutiques for additional wonderful locally sourced gifts.

Signing off,
