A round-up of the best student discount, deals, and ways to save money as a student in the Charm City.

I’ve never met a college student who doesn’t like to save money. C’mon, what’s better than saving some cash, right? Living life can be expensive but thankfully, as a college student, a ton of places like to give us discounts so we can afford to explore the city and do more than just homework all of the time.

I’ve compiled some of my favorite and the most “worth-it” student discounts in Baltimore as well as some other ways to save $$$ on shopping or food if you’re a college student.

Baltimore Discounts:

Friday Orioles Games – $10 tickets when you show your student ID

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore – 50% of memberships for students

American Visionary Art Museum – $9.95 student tickets

National Aquarium – Half-price Friday nights

MARC Student Advantage – 15% off MARC Train tickets

UNIDAYS is a website that college students can create an account with their university email and get access to exclusive discounts and deals for hundreds of brands and services such as Hello Fresh, Apple, Grubhub, zipcar, and so many more!

Clothing Discounts:

Madewell – 15% for students

Goodwill – 30% off on Wednesdays

Banana Republic – 15% off (great for getting an outfit for your job interviews or internships)

J.Crew – 15% off

ASOS – 10% off

Food Discounts:

HomeSlyce Pizza Bar – different drink and food deals every Thursday–Sunday

Chipotle – free drink with purchase of meal in September

Dunkin’ Donuts – 10% off at participating locations

Hello Fresh – 15% discount on subscription fees plus free shipping on meal boxes to college students

Some of my favorite cheap eats:

  • On the Hill Café (Bolton Hill/near MICA): This café is a favorite spot for MICA students but I love it for the cozy atmosphere and delicious vegetarian eats.
  • Tortilleria Sinaloa (Fells Point): I love tacos and this spot in Fells Point definitely hits the spot without breaking the bank. Tacos range from about $3$5 which, in my opinion, is about as good as you can get in Baltimore.
  • On Thursdays, Five and Dime Ale House in Hampden has a special where you get half off your tab all night–delicious food and beer on tap? Count me in.
  • Souvlaki in Hampden has delicious and filling pita wraps for under $7 – be sure to try the zucchini balls, they are so delicious.

What are your favorite ways to save money? Let me know!
