Though Halloween is approaching, don’t let COVID ruin your chance to dress up and have some fun! While large group parties can’t unfortunately happen this year, there are many other alternatives to celebrate.
A tradition that can still be continued or started for the first time is to watch a scary movie with your roommates or over zoom with your family and friends. Freeform has started their 31 days of Halloween movies. You can find the listing of movies each day here to see what is playing. If you are looking for some other options some common scary (and kid friendly) movies are listed below. For those that are on Netflix or Disney+ there are options to watch them together.
Some recommendations for perfect Halloween scary movies are, The Shining, Get Out, The Conjuring, Friday the 13th, Halloween, and The Exorcist.
For those of you who want a kid friendly scary movie I would recommend Ghostbusters, Casper, Rocky Horror, Twitches, Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Monster House, and of course Charlie Brown, It’s the Great Pumpkin!
