Tara is forever grateful for the employment, volunteer, and networking experiences she has had in the city of Baltimore. “I have had a number of opportunities through my education that have brought me to where I am today. The connections I’ve made provide me with a solid foundation for my professional career.”
Most recently Tara gained career experience as an intern in the protocol and special events department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Tara successfully assisted in the marketing, promotion, and execution of three university events.
Tara volunteers at Art with a Heart, a Baltimore non-profit that provides art-making programs to underserved children, youth, and adults. Tara participated in a service project, helping to complete projects such as mosaics and crab drawings. “It was a fantastic opportunity to get involved, meet new people, and experience part of Baltimore.”
She enjoys the Inner Harbor for its shops, nightlife, restaurants, and pirate ships. For anyone interested in bringing out their inner pirate, she highly recommends a cruise with the Urban Pirates. “Imagine climbing aboard a pirate ship and riding through the waters with your crew by your side and your enemies chasing you.” The adventure left Tara and her friends with an experience they’ll never forget.
