A first-year dental student, Taylor balances the responsibilities of being a new husband and father. “People ask me how I can get through dental school while being married. I don’t know how I would get through dental school without being married.”
Taylor, a native of Salt Lake City, relies on the support and encouragement of his wife, Tori, and one-year-old daughter, Lucy. The young family has settled in to a new life 2,000 miles from their home. Baltimore’s cosmopolitan, urban environment is radically different from the more rural atmosphere of their hometown, but he and his wife are excited for the adventure of putting down roots in a new city.
He chose to enroll at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry because of the diverse student body, empathetic faculty members, and opportunities to help patients in need, both in Baltimore and around the world through academic externships. He looks forward to treating patients in the school clinics on his way toward a rewarding dental career that will enable him to help improve the lives of others.
