Robyn Githui invests her time and talents in Baltimore because she believes everyone deserves to live and work in a thriving community.
Her vision is for Baltimore’s returning citizens to come home to a welcoming environment with opportunities to flourish. Robyn aims to educate the greater public about the conditions facing returning citizens post-incarceration and to inform returning citizens of viable job and housing opportunities within their communities.
Baltimore Collegetown LeaderShape gave Robyn a network of peers who helped her shape her vision. The members of her family cluster provided suggestions about the people and organizations she can work with to start taking action. “For so long, I only did projects that were organized through my school, but Collegetown LeaderShape has expanded my scope.”
