“Baltimore is a complex network of neighborhoods that really reflects its history and is a reminder of why complacency or silence simply isn’t an option any longer.”
If Lydia had to introduce a friend to Baltimore who had never visited before, she’d show them the side of the city that the media doesn’t–the sense of community, the immense love and hospitality, the beautiful green spaces, art shows, food, and culture. She loves actively finding new spots in Baltimore outside of the “Hopkins bubble.”
Lydia would like to see the Baltimore Collegetown Fellowship open the lines of communication with change-makers in Baltimore and beyond. She believes access is so important to effecting change. The Collegetown Fellowship has served an important role as an incubator for her social innovation ideas.
