Growing up in Cairo, community is integral to Mohamed’s culture. For him, Baltimore has a very distinct spirit that is unparalleled. Mohamed is grateful to call Baltimore his home in the United States. Some of his favorite things to do in the city include meeting new people and networking, exploring new places and engaging with the community, and providing support for others.
At John Hopkins University, Mohamed is involved with the JHU Student Government Association, serves as an intern at the Interfaith Center, and as the treasurer of the JHU Muslim Association. He currently works with the JHU Registrar on multiple projects like renovating the JHU App and creating a Student Advisory Committee for Technology Systems. Mohamed is simultaneously currently working with Stanley Black & Decker on his senior engineering design project.
