Dahlia Duncan is committed to improving the city both socially and economically, and created a vision to develop a S.T.E.A.M and mentorship program for African-American adolescents.
Dahlia envisions a program where young men and women can be supported intellectually and emotionally; she wants participants to succeed beyond their (and others’) expectations. Baltimore Collegetown LeaderShape taught Dahlia that goal setting is a constantly evolving process and that collaboration with others can result in some inspiring changes. “By collaborating with students from other Baltimore-area schools, I learned that my vision will continuously change as I incorporate new viewpoints from my peers.”
