Internship Responsibilities

Maryland Nonprofits has been a recognized capacity builder for over 25 years, committed to a sustainable and robust nonprofit sector through our membership of more than 1,200 nonprofits and associates. Maryland Nonprofits' mission is to strengthen the capacity of nonprofit organizations and promote collaboration for greater quality of life and equity. Our membership is representative of the sector, running the gamut from start-up nonprofits to long-established agencies; all are working to meet the educational, physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs of the people and communities they serve. 

The Maryland Nonprofits Consulting Group (a program of Maryland Nonprofits) is the largest and most highly qualified consulting team in the state devoted to nonprofits. We work cooperatively with a staff team of three consultants, including legal counsel, plus a cadre of Associate Consultants with specialized expertise in the nonprofit sector including strategic planning, business planning, resource development planning, fundraising coaching, research and development, organizational development, governance capacity building.


Assist the Department of Consulting and Strategic Engagement with research, administrative tasks, and communications.

Skill Set Required

Interest in learning about the nonprofit sector.
