At Looking Out For Little Johnny, we are here to give youth and returning citizens the support they need in order to shape them into leaders of the future. We have a number of educational programs and leadership initiatives that help nurture our youth and returning citizens, and help them develop the skills they will carry throughout their lives. As a Grant Writer Intern, you will have the opportunity to help support our fundraising initiatives by identifying potential grants and submitting applications on behalf of Looking Out For Little Johnny. This individual reports to the Grant Specialist and administrative staff of LOFLJ.
• Operates the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources.
•Responsible for conducting prospect research on foundations, and corporations to evaluate prospects for grants.
• Maintains current records in electronic and stored databases, including grant tracking and reporting.
• Contributes to the creation of campaigns.
