Graphic Design Intern

Internship Description

Are you a student interested in building real-world graphic design experience with a non-profit company? We’re a forward-thinking company looking for a talented and knowledgeable student designer with fresh, creative ideas and an excellent eye for detail. Come intern for one of the nation’s leading grass root organizations and share some of your best ideas in helping to drive our work.


Duties and Responsibilities

· Create and design print and digital materials

· Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline

· Retouch and manipulate images

· Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media

· Collaborate on developing design concepts

· Receive feedback with making necessary changes

· Assemble final presentation material for printing as needed

 

Requirements

· Graphic Design major preferred

· Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals

· Experience with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator

· Strong creative and analytical skills

· Compelling portfolio of graphic design work

· Needs to be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Mission

The Network for Developing Conscious Communities (NDCC) mission is to strengthen conscious community development practices in communities of color through building capacity and accessing capital.

Who We Are

The Network for Developing Conscious Communities is a national network organization founded in 2014 that fosters conscious innovative and collaborative relationships among Black community leaders of different incomes, professions, ideologies and from different sectors of the community development movement to address the complexity of Black neighborhood’s socio-economic challenges.

Accomplishments

NDCC has sponsored numerous conferences and symposiums since 2015, focused on addressing the impact of racial disparities in communities of color. In 2019 started Cooperative Baltimore Academy, providing training for individuals interested with starting worker owned cooperative businesses.
