LPF Operations Intern

Internship Responsibilities

Leveling the Playing Field accepts interns year round to help with numerous tasks and responsibilities around the business. Interns will have the opportunity to gain experience with volunteer coordination, community outreach, database operations and logistics management. Throughout the year, we train and provide ongoing support to you as you work in your particular area, which is chosen according to your specific interests and talents.

Skill Set Required

Our main requirement for interns is a passion for youth sports participation and giving back to those less fortunate. Other required skills include:

  • Dependability
  • Work ethic
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work with volunteer groups of various ages
  • Basic administrative skills
  • Weekend availability

A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required; access to a personal vehicle preferred.

Semester: Spring (Feb - May), Winter (Jan), Ongoing
Hours per week: 1-10 hours
Workdays: Flexible
Pay: Yes, $500 stipend

Leveling the Playing Field (LPF) is a non-profit that collects used/excess sporting equipment so that we can ensure that every kid living in and around the Baltimore area can enjoy the benefits of athletic involvement. Our donations benefit Title I schools and youth/after-school programs looking to engage their students in the physical and mental benefits of youth sports participation.
