Internship Responsibilities

Through our internship program, we are looking for talented young people passionate about helping reduce and address trauma in Baltimore, and support a movement pursuing a racially, socially, and economically just and thriving Baltimore for all.  This will be an opportunity to work in Baltimore and learn pieces of what it’s like to work at a nonprofit as well as execute multiple initiatives and events.

Interns will work closely with the Healing City Baltimore Coordinator.  We are asking for a minimum of 8 hours per week, and are flexible on what days and times for the right candidate though it would be ideal if they are available Tuesday from 7-8 pm, and Thursday from 4-5 pm for community meetings, with other meetings as scheduled. Positions can start as early as September and will run through March, with the possibility for extensions.  This position is currently unpaid, but we would like to be able to coordinate and offer Internship credit.

The Production/Technical Intern will work with the Healing City Baltimore Coordinator and volunteers on planning and executing the Healing City Summit, which will take place in March 2022.  This Summit seeks to bring together community members through a multi-day event where young people, community members, faith groups, academia come together to share about paths towards healing.  To see videos from the 2021 Summit, see here. The 2022 summit we anticipate will have both virtual and in person offerings.
