Internship Responsibilities
The Maryland Book Bank distributes over 400,00 books per year to children and educators in under-resourced neighborhoods.
Get valuable experience at a local non-profit organization while working hands-on with the community.
Responsibilities include organizing book inventory and incoming donations, packing book orders, independently attending weekly Bookmobile school visits, independently overseeing Book Bank operations, scheduling and training volunteers, and general administrative duties.
The Maryland Book Bank is located in the Baltimore Collaborative Warehouse at 1794 Union Ave. You will be working alongside and gaining valuable experience from five other Non-Profit Organizations that support youth, families, and educators in Baltimore.
Skill Set Required
Successful Bookmobile Interns will have a passion for non-profit service and literacy efforts.
Collaborative approach to the workplace and flexibility.
A valid drivers license and a clean driving record.

Bookmobile visits occur Monday, Wednesday, and Friday beginning at 10 am. The schedule is flexible and can be changed to accommodate many schedules.
