Real Estate Finance Intern

Internship Responsibilities

Growing real estate firm in Baltimore City seeks Business and/or Finance Major to support all areas of business.  Successful candidates will have experience preparing and creating financial spreadsheets and pro-formas, performing financial analysis, and managing accounting operations.  The position requires a major or extensive experience in one or more of the following:

  • Accounting

  • Business

  • Finance

Specific tasks include the following:

  • Working with Quickbooks Software System

  • Preparing Excel Spreadsheets 

  • Preparing loan packages for lenders 

  • Analyzing HUD-1 spreadsheets

  • Preparing reports for banks, financial institutions, state agencies

  • Reviewing insurance contracts

  • Helping to prepare proposals for the city, state, and federal government

  • Preparing government reports 

  • Assisting with tax preparation

  • Assist with proposals, grants, presentations. 

 

Skill Set Required

Requiments: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, business acumen, good decision-making skills, advanced computer skills, ability to solve complex problems. A desire to work in a real estate entrepreneurial environment is preferred.

CLCB’s objective to improve the social and economic conditions of residents in low-income communities in East Baltimore is accomplished through construction workforce training, community development and rehabilitation of boarded and vacant rowhomes. 

The achievement of CLCB’s mission depends on the economic stability of the residents  living in these communities, characterized by a high population of minority residents, low education attainment rates, high crime, low density economic development, poor housing stock and extremely high unemployment.  Our program is focused on comprehensive and sustainable workforce development for unemployed residents from these neighborhoods.  Our training includes classroom, Construction Lab and on-the-job site training rehabbing boarded an vacant properties in the community. This gives our trainee’s the opportunity to contribute to the physical and health improvement of their neighborhood while providing high quality housing for community members. The program support they receive helps trainee’s overcome barriers to employment, links graduates to jobs with family supporting wages and helps graduates navigate the world of work.  This leads to financial independence for these workers and their families, and the opportunity to become homeowners in their own communities.
