Red Cross: Volunteer Recruitment Lead Intern

Internship Responsibilities

  • Assists the Sr. Volunteer Recruitment Specialist in the development and implementation of volunteer workforce recruitment activities;
  • Leads a team of 5-10 volunteers responsible for recruitment within all lines of service and departments;
  • Assists in the on-boarding and training of new Recruitment Volunteers;
  • Meets with Volunteer Recruitment team to determine and communicate targeted recruitment needs in the region;
  • Creates, modifies and edits print and social media recruitment materials;              
  • Researches outreach events and fairs. Reaches out to community groups to set up recruitment presentations;                                                                                         
  • Plans and carries out recruitment events in communities served by the region, for both identified partner groups and open-call interest meetings.

Skill Set Required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; 
  • Marketing, public speaking or leadership experience a plus;
  • Enthusiastic about Red Cross mission and programs;
  • Sophomore, Juniors, Seniors preferred.
