About Boy Scouts of America: Baltimore Area Council

The Baltimore Area Council (BAC) is an independent not-for-profit entity responsible for delivering Scouting programs to young people in Baltimore City and the five surrounding counties. The council delivers the Scouting program through dedicated volunteer leadership in our 12 districts throughout Central Maryland. The BSA serves youth by turning young boys and girls into tomorrow's leaders, building self-esteem and strong character, instilling lifelong values and enhancing citizenship.

Scoutreach, an initiative of the Baltimore Area Council: Boy Scouts of America, serves youth throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area who could otherwise not afford to participate in our traditional Scouting programs. Scoutreach consists of scouting programming that takes place in Baltimore City Public Schools, County Schools, and Recreation Centers.
