Apply today to gain valuable organizational experience working as our Marketing & Communications intern. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Maintain a social media presence on FB, IG, Twitter, etc
Write and develop content for social media pages about BTSS, store hot buys, member & volunteer spotlights, and ongoing events.
Execute social media marketing campaigns from initial planning stages through to final reporting.
Assisting with day-to-day social media management, including but not limited to scheduling posts and community management.
Support for developing social media content around special events
Staying current with best practices related to PR and social media, and making recommendations for new and improved strategies
Researching and curating lists of influencers, hashtags, etc
Organize and prepare marketing materials i.e. brochures, flyers, press kits, etc
Develop a current media contact list for Baltimore and surrounding areas
Develop a current contact list of area schools, businesses and organizations.
Skill Set Required
Must be dedicated and organized with a ready-to-work mentality. A student interested in social media/ public relations/ communications, strategic or integrated marketing, looking to gain experience/exposure in the field. Strong written and verbal communications skills are a must. Knowledge in graphic design, research, Google Analytics, and website management a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be a self-starter and highly motivated.
Preferred Areas of Study/Major(s)
Social media/ Public relations/ Communications, Strategic or integrated marketing, looking to gain experience/exposure in the field.
Summer (Jun - Aug), Fall (Sep - Dec), Ongoing
Hours per week:
Thursdays are a must and 2 Saturdays a month

The Baltimore Teacher Supply Swap is located in the Baltimore Collaborative Warehouse at 1794 Union Ave. Here, we house 6 different nonprofits all focused on the educational environment of children.
We are a warehouse environment and subject to weather and environment changes.
