SEE Your Future in Baltimore
The Sophomore Externship Experience (SEE) Your Future Program provides exposure to rising sophomores who are interested in exploring a career in business in a corporate setting. SEE Your Future with a greater understanding of the region's career paths and employers!
Program partners include BGE, Under Armour, and Whiting-Turner. CollegeBound Foundation provides program support in partnership with Collegetown.
About the Program
The SEE Program is a full-time, paid summer externship. Students engage in career and professional development and gain experience with the various corporate partners. Students also complete a capstone project. Through the externship, participants gain valuable insights into a business career in a corporate environment, discover different industries, and learn more about the career paths available in Baltimore.
The 2026 SEE Program will take place from June 1 - July 23 (1 week vacation June 30 - July 3). The Program will consist of an orientation week, and one week with each of the program partners (BGE, Under Armour, and Whiting-Turner). The final weeks will include career experiences and completion of a capstone project.

Who is eligible for the SEE Program?
The SEE Program is open to rising sophomores in college by Summer 2026. Applicants must be Maryland residents and have a preferred 2.8 minimum GPA. Applications are open for students attending the following schools:
- CCBC
- Coppin State
- Goucher College
- Johns Hopkins University
- Loyola University Maryland
- MICA
- Morgan State
- Notre Dame of Maryland University
- Towson University
- University of Baltimore
- University of Maryland, Baltimore
- UMBC
Community college students are eligible if they have earned credits equal to a sophomore level. Graduate students are not eligible.

Do I have to be a business major?
The SEE Program is open to any student with an interest in exploring a career in business in a corporate environment, and students do not need to have declared a major in business - or any major - to participate. Past participants have included students majoring in accounting, management, finance, HR, game design, business analytics, and IT.

How are students selected for the program?
Complete the application form by March 2 at 10 AM.
The application consists of essay questions and a resume/CV. Applicants will be evaluated based on their responses to application essays, and finalists will participate in a virtual one-way interview. Students from traditionally underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. Selected participants will be notified by late April.

Is this externship paid?
Yes! Students receive a salary plus a travel stipend to participate in this program.
