Internship Responsibilities

The Marketing and Communications Intern will support the MD Chamber of Commerce's communications and digital marketing teams.

 

  • Create social media posts, Canva graphics, and other content to boost online engagement
  • Assist with migration to new agency website, re-create webpages, copy edit existing pages
  • Contribute to the blog by pitching and writing stories, interviewing businesses, and following trending local business news stories
  • Assist with internal and external events, newsletters, and announcements
  • Provide additional support for the communications and digital marketing teams as needed, including but not limited to social media strategy, public relations, web editing, etc.
     
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in an institution of higher learning in a course on English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketin
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Proven research and analytical skills

Preferred skills: English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media/Broadcasting.
