Internship Responsibilities

Port Discovery Children's Museum is looking for a couple of Marketing & Communications Interns to join the team this fall!

This hands-on, in-person internship offers students the opportunity to gain experience working alongside a museum marketing and communications team while helping share Port Discovery’s mission, exhibits, programs, events, and visitor experiences with families and communities.

Interns may explore one of three focus areas:

  • Digital Content, Storytelling & Communications: Social media, photography, videography, digital storytelling, content creation, and communications
  • Brand & Design: Graphic design, visual communication, branding, campaign development, and creative projects
  • Marketing Research & Analytics: Marketing strategy, audience research, campaign planning, analytics, and performance reporting

Approximately 75% of internship time will be spent supporting the Marketing & Communications team in the intern’s area of focus, with approximately 25% spent alongside our Learning & Visitor Experience team. This experience gives interns firsthand exposure to our visitors, exhibits, programs, and museum environment while helping them better understand the audiences they are communicating with.
