Internship Responsibilities

The marketing and communication internship is an exciting, hands-on opportunity to develop
expertise and expand your knowledge within the nonprofit marketing sector. Duties will be
tailored to the intern's interest/area of study, but typically include:
 

  • Researching and creating compelling social media content
  • Interviewing and writing high-quality tutor, AmeriCorps, and student stories for the
    Reading Partners Baltimore webpage
  • Assisting with monthly regional and tutor newsletter content
  • Researching the latest marketing and social media best practices to share findings with
    the team
  • Tracking and analyzing social media metrics to continually improve our content strategy
  • Creating high-quality social media graphics, videos, and printed collateral materials
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Responsible, flexible, and cooperative team-player comfortable working independently
    and collaboratively
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Experience with social media platforms (experience with photo/video editing platforms a
    plus)
