Internship Responsibilities
The American Red Cross is seeking motivated college interns to join our Facilities Management team for a hands-on summer experience for our 10-week internship June 1- August 7. This internship provides exposure to real-world projects, mentorship from experienced professionals, and the opportunity to develop practical skills in facilities management and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in tracking and monitoring supply levels to help ensure adequate inventory availability
- Support efforts to minimize service downtime through accurate inventory documentation and analysis
- Gain hands-on experience improving inventory processes under guidance
- Security Control Audit:
- Learn how to perform audit on key control systems
- Observe and assist in inspecting system components for accuracy
- Document audit results and help identify opportunities for improvement
- Support the development of control system that is both comprehensive and easy to manage
- General Support:
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Current college student with interest in facilities, operations, or related fields
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative ยท Basic familiarity to Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
