Internship Responsibilities
The American Red Cross is seeking motivated college interns to join our Fleet Management team for a hands-on summer experience for our 10-week internship June 1- August 7. This role supports daily administrative and operational fleet activities while working closely with the Fleet Coordinator. The Fleet Administration Intern will gain practical experience in compliance tracking, vehicle documentation, and general fleet operations. This is great opportunity for students interested in operations, logistics, administration, or transportation management to learn in a real-world environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative support
- Assist with registrations and documents to ensure accuracy ยท Compliance and Documentation
- Track vehicle registrations, insurance records, and compliance requirements
- Assist in monitoring fleet policies and procedures
- Data and Reporting
- Compile basic reports related to fleet usage, maintenance history, and performance
- Coordination and communication
- Communicate with internal teams and, when appropriate, external vendors regarding fleet documentation and scheduling
- Assist with scheduling preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections under supervision
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled college student with an interest in fleet operations, logistics, business administration, or a related field
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and ask questions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable working with data and maintaining accurate records
